Long-term cut and need advice

. So I started about 5 days in a row of working out every other body part. I eat 2 times a week, and 30 minutes of cardio isn’t all that much. I was recommended to lay off them) so I'm wondering if there are any tricks to picking up the weight by 5 pounds 3 times a week.
