What do you look forward to most in Discovery’s take on distinct and scattered Klingon houses?
We've learned that the Klingons in the upcoming show are not unified. Separate and distinct houses scattered over significant distances. Their clothing will be stylistically different between them and their forehead ridges will emphasize their distinctiveness and serve to identify the origin of individuals. And very likely these separate "mother-houses"for lack of a better term will come with their own set of beliefs, rituals and cultural norms, as well as art style.
The Klingons we're most familiar with are the Samurai-Vikings that dominated the TNG era. Their cultural backdrop borrowed from warrior-cultures on Earth. I could list all the similarities that are clearly informed by those other human cultures but I think they're known well enough by most anyway. It's reasonable that with this new diverse selection of Klingons in DSC that the writers will continue to draw from cultures past and present for inspiration.
Accepting that they're moving in this new direction, what do you want to see most in the different flavors of Klingon we are about to witness?
