Micheal’s “change of heart”
There's this moment in the last episode where Michael has like a "moment" on Qo'nos, where she realizes how it's harder for her to hate Klingons, and I really liked how it wasn't because she liked them or their lifestyle, but she just realized they're just living their lives.
And I like it because usually the "overcoming bigotry" narratives in movies and series rely on some kind of a sudden shift in perspective, brought by seeing the targets of prejudice doing some good deed, often some sort of sacrifice. But here it was the reltable, mundane character everyday life of Klingons that made Michael take a step towards moving on from her prejudice. And I kinda appreciated that.
